Water's Edge has spectacular views over the sea and towards the  Culloden hills,  there is  private access to the seashore and a small beach  lapped by the clear waters of the Moray Firth. Just 20 minutes drive away from Inverness, enjoy the city life while staying in a beautiful Scottish village setting by the sea. Here at Water's Edge we have two large luxurious guest bedrooms and sparkling bathrooms we moved here in 2006 and have transformed this lovely house into something very special. Each en suite bedroom is individual in character and filled with all things special for you to enjoy. French doors  open from each bedroom onto a generous balcony with stunning  views over  the sea. The sitting room has a small library of interesting books, stepping through the French doors you can enjoy our beautiful courtyard garden, where you will find a fish pond surrounded by Scottish ferns. The dining room has a garden terrace and  large picture windows, while enjoying breakfast you look out over the sea.
The area abounds with wild life, we have seen an otter in the garden, the famous Moray Firth dolphins swimming just off the beach at  the bottom  of the garden, always a special privilege when they swim by so close. Many  guests return to stay with us here at water's Edge, this is always a very special thing for us both. You will find us in the Michelin guide where we have achieved a coveted red house award, which to us is very special indeed and we are so very pleased to be in the famous DK. guide. We welcome guests from all over the world, we truly enjoy sharing our  home with them all. Fortrose is a beautiful, idyllic Scottish highland village with a picturesque harbour. There  is one restaurant and a coffee shop  just a few  minutes walk from the house along with a traditional pub, coffee shop and  a quality antique shop selling treasures of times gone by. The Fortrose yacht club is close to the harbour which is less than  one minute walk along the beach from the garden and it is an idyllic sight to see the yachts sailing. If you enjoy fishing we always will have a spare rod for you to cast a line or two from our  jetty  at high tide. The summer time will bring warmer water for you to enjoy a swim in the clear waters of the Moray Firth from the beach at the bottom of the  garden. It is a little cold, but I have to say, having enjoyed swimming myself many times on warm sunny days, it really is a wonderful experience. We have a laptop computer for our guests to use with access to broadband using a wireless access point. The airport is 45 Minutes from Fortrose, there is an airport bus runs every 30 minutes into Inverness city centre to coincide with all flights at the airport. Taxis are always available just outside the airport entrance. There is an excellent bus service to and from Fortrose to Inverness every half hour from early morning until late.

We hope we can welcome you to stay here with us at Water's Edge, we feel sure you will love it as much as we do, our welcome will be warm, of that you can be assured.
